Department: Sales and Marketing

Manager/Director of Consulting Services
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Manager or Director of Consulting Services will play a key role in building, managing and delivering email marketing consulting services to EmailLabs' clients. You will work closely with the VP of Marketing to develop consulting methodologies and deliverables and with sales personnel during the selling and proposal phases. You will be expected to drive the sales process, grow revenues profitably and build out your consulting team. We are looking for an experienced email marketing consultant who is passionate about helping clients increase their ROI and contributing to industry Thought Leadership. This position will be based in Menlo Park, California.

Responsibilities

  • Develop consulting methodologies and sales/deliverables materials
  • Participate and drive sales calls, meetings and presentations
  • Develop consulting proposals
  • Provide consulting services to clients including audits, program/campaign strategies, performance analysis and improvement, creative strategies
  • Manage practice P&L and staffing
  • Write articles, case studies and participate in Webinars/seminars
  • Work with Sales and Account Management to identify consulting service opportunities
  • Continuous learning of EmailLabs product and services and industry trends
  • Travel as required close deals and delivery consulting findings/recommendations

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years marketing/strategy consulting experience, with at least 2 years in email marketing consulting
  • BA/BS degree
  • Experience developing methodologies and building consulting practices
  • Clear track record of selling and delivering high-value consulting services
  • Experience and comfort in public speaking and presenting to executives
  • Deep understanding of email marketing
  • Experience in database and/or traditional direct marketing a plus
  • Understanding of /experience in applying segmentation, RFM models and testing strategies
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and on schedule
  • Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Understanding of HTML basics
  • Adept at Word, PPT and Excel
